War would uncover Saddam's weapons "When we go in, a lot of smoking guns will be uncovered," said Warner, chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee, who just returned from a weeklong trip to the Persian Gulf region. If/When the U.S. troops invade Iraq expect to see the customary pornography and drug paraphernalia and maybe the little boys Saddam slept with. Of course, they will find tons of Weapons of mass destruction and Official documents in Arabic with English words stating, "Attack America", "Kill Bush", "Poison Kurds", and for good measure "Attack Britain" etc. This is typical U.S. propaganda after invasions.

A new CNN system of "script approval" – the iniquitous instruction to reporters that they have to send all their copy to anonymous officials in Atlanta to ensure it is suitably sanitised – suggests that the Pentagon and the Department of State have nothing to worry about. Nor do the Israelis. Robert Fisk
