War would uncover Saddam's weapons
"When we go in, a lot of smoking guns will be uncovered," said Warner, chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee, who just returned from a weeklong trip to the Persian Gulf region.
If/When the U.S. troops invade Iraq expect to see the customary pornography and drug paraphernalia and maybe the little boys Saddam slept with. Of course, they will find tons of Weapons of mass destruction and Official documents in Arabic with English words stating, "Attack America", "Kill Bush", "Poison Kurds", and for good measure "Attack Britain" etc. This is typical U.S. propaganda after invasions.

Mugabe: US must disarm
Zimbabwe's President Robert Mugabe has launched a scathing attack on the "born-again colonialists" of the United States and the United Kingdom. The US should lead by example and dismantle its weapons of mass destruction, before demanding the same of Iraq, he said. He also questioned the legitimacy of George Bush's 2000 election victory, saying Mr Bush was in no position to lecture Zimbabwe on democratic elections.

How the news will be censored in this war
Already, the American press is expressing its approval of the coverage of American forces which the US military intends to allow its reporters in the next Gulf war. The boys from CNN, CBS, ABC and The New York Times will be "embedded" among the US marines and infantry. The degree of censorship hasn't quite been worked out. But it doesn't matter how much the Pentagon cuts from the reporters' dispatches. A new CNN system of "script approval" – the iniquitous instruction to reporters that they have to send all their copy to anonymous officials in Atlanta to ensure it is suitably sanitised – suggests that the Pentagon and the Department of State have nothing to worry about. Nor do the Israelis. Robert Fisk
