After Powell's Disclosure, FNC Airs Tape
Strangely enough, all the networks, including al-Jazeera, were scooped by Secretary of State Colin Powell, who revealed during morning testimony to a Senate committee that he had reviewed a transcript "of what bin Laden, or who we believe to be bin Laden, will be saying on al-Jazeera during the course of the day." Powell gave no indication of how he had obtained the information. ( That's the point I made yesterday! Read lower down this page. )

Probably the toughest thing for most Americans to do is to recognize that their own government is deliberately deceiving them. Americans have a tendency to place implicit faith in their leaders.

Leaving Saddam Hussein out of the equation, bin Laden's real agenda is not only to drive the Americans and Israelis out of the Islamic Middle East, but also to overthrow the governments in the region, including the government in Baghdad, all "infidel governments", and all with ties to the West.
