Has the Iraqi Threat Come Home?
The U.S. government is aggressively pursuing intelligence that Saddam Hussein may have sent operatives to the United States, ABCNEWS has learned. ( Is the U.S. government planning to attack its own country and blame it on Iraq as a prelude to War? )

Collateral damage
We may soon learn, the hard way, the limits of American power - not from our enemies but from our friends.

Baghdad Back Flip
Colin Powell's cynical reversal

If you want to know why people don't trust what the United States says about Iraq, get a load of what Secretary of State Colin Powell said this morning.

Another dubious 'Bin Laden tape' comes
Timing, quality of audio make tape controversial

Bin Laden, Unedited
After Powell's Disclosure, FNC Airs Tape

Strangely enough, all the networks, including al-Jazeera, were scooped by Secretary of State Colin Powell, who revealed during morning testimony to a Senate committee that he had reviewed a transcript "of what bin Laden, or who we believe to be bin Laden, will be saying on al-Jazeera during the course of the day." Powell gave no indication of how he had obtained the information. ( That's the point I made yesterday! Read lower down this page. )

Hard To Believe
Probably the toughest thing for most Americans to do is to recognize that their own government is deliberately deceiving them. Americans have a tendency to place implicit faith in their leaders.

The US lacks a compelling case
Why hasn't Saddam Hussein killed all Americans?

Pass the Duct Tape
Osama bin Laden came to the rescue of George W. Bush yesterday

Osama on cue
But, strictly speaking, it proves nothing. Leaving Saddam Hussein out of the equation, bin Laden's real agenda is not only to drive the Americans and Israelis out of the Islamic Middle East, but also to overthrow the governments in the region, including the government in Baghdad, all "infidel governments", and all with ties to the West.
