Seeing the current situation in Iraq, can anyone who had not heard the big claims by George Bush and Tony Blair before entering Iraq, even imagine what this entire intervention in Iraq was supposed to achieve. As for awe, there is little doubt that the sickening images trickling out of Abu Ghraib prison is providing a profusion of it to shocked Iraqis, as well as to the rest of the world.
