Iraq's Alleged Weapons of Mass Destruction
Despite the U.S. having secured military control in Iraq, the Bush administration has not yet uncovered Iraq's alleged weapons of mass destruction. Before the conflict, the Bush administration frequently claimed that they had evidence proving Iraq was hiding massive quantities of weapons of mass destruction; to date, these weapons have not been found, if they do indeed exist.

Why look in the crystal ball?

More false leads, but no smoking gun
Last weekend several American investigation teams rushed to a spot near the northern Iraqi town of Baiji. Only 24 hours later, however, amid considerably less fanfare, it emerged that this was yet another "false positive" - the barrels contained rocket fuel and the vehicles carried equipment for mixing the fuel

Real American agenda now becoming clear
A superpower like the United States does not invade a pipsqueak power like Iraq - outside the framework of international law and against worldwide opposition - only for its publicly stated reasons, in this case, fighting terrorism, liberating Iraq and triggering a domino effect for the democratization of the Middle East.

The media coverage of Bush's Iraq war reminds any objective observer of a pompom squad cheering for their team. The mass media claim -- and therefore many Americans think -- this war was not about oil or revenge or geopolitical power games.
