U.S. Offers Turkey $4 Billion
The United States, seeking to ensure Turkish military cooperation in any war against Iraq, is offering at least $4 billion to compensate Turkey for economic damage it might suffer as a result of playing an active role in an American-led coalition. "If Turkey helps us in the war, we want to help Turkey with the economic consequences of its role in that war," a senior American official said today. www.nytimes.com

I'm losing patience with my neighbours, Mr Bush
I'm really excited by George Bush's latest reason for bombing Iraq: he's running out of patience. And so am I!

No Surprises Likely in Iraq Nuke Report

800 missiles to hit Iraq in first 48 hours
The US intends to shatter Iraq "physically, emotionally and psychologically" by raining down on its people as many as 800 cruise missiles in two days. The Pentagon battle plan aims not only to crush Iraqi troops, but also wipe out power and water supplies in the capital, Baghdad.

Least we forget, the U.S. wants to free the people they intend to kill. I guess when they are dead they are free. Some think this rhetoric is intended to frighten Saddam and not the Iraqi people but I feel it is intended to remind the anti-war world of White America's might and superiority.
