But while a series of what were widely regarded as nobbled inquiries have at least gone through the motions of holding them to account, there has been no attempt to hold the media to account for its role in making war possible.

This morning I watched a few minutes of Fox & Friends – the Fox TV News network’s version of Today and Good Morning America. Two of the three hosts were interviewing one of their foreign policy experts. Among the three of them, they made the following points about Iran:
Iran is developing nuclear weapons (you know, weapons of mass destruction).

That President Musharraf had a successful visit to Latin America and the US, as well as Britain and France, is clear to all and one has to appreciate his standing firm on Iraq and the A.Q. Khan issue despite the massive wooing by President Bush and company.
