I am a conservative Republican who has come to the conclusion over the past 12 months that I would not vote for Bush Cheney 2004 under bribe, duress or at gunpoint. I have come to that conclusion for many reasons that are well documented and in some instances is information that is known only to myself and several executives that I work with.

That may be no bad thing, judging by a policy analysis from the Cato Institute out this week, "How Political Ignorance Threatens Democracy." As the title suggests, an uninformed electorate is dangerous to the survival of our political system. And America's electorate is, according to the analysis, woefully ignorant about politics, politicians, and a governing system 200 years old.
