US, Israel Play Risk - Iraq, Syria... Gee, What's Next? Posted: Tuesday, October 14, 2003
Dominance and its dilemmas What is to be "protected" is US power and the interests it represents, not the world, which vigorously opposed the conception.
Talking Turkey About Iraq Calling All Occupiers Just for a moment, let's imagine a hypothetical situation. Say the U.S. was occupying Syria, and needed some help with the occupation--some troops who might help to put the occupied Syrians at ease. Would we invite in neighboring Israeli troops to help us? Unlikely you say? Or let's try Poland. Say we were occupying Poland and wanted some help there. Would we invite German troops in? No way.

Vice-President Emerges From Hiding, Urges Americans To Keep Fighting The English-language recording, obtained by the American satellite station CNN, showed a pale and tired looking Cheney who promised that future operations will provide the faithful with vast opportunities for war profiteering. "When faced with hard choices, we choose to make war, not peace," Cheney said, chopping the air with his hand for emphasis.
