More than 50 dead in a week. Thanks for the Iraq war. Thank you, Mr Bush and Mr Blair, for making our world safer by ridding us of the one tyrant - Saddam Hussein - who never had any connection with 11 September 2001, or with the Riyadh bombings or with the bombings in Casablanca.

And she may not be the only one with memory problems about the war in Iraq. The Pentagon is also having trouble recalling what happened over there.

What haunts me is an offhand remark of a congressional aide in a New Yorker piece about missing weapons of mass destruction. The man said that he didn't think their absence would "sway US public opinion much." After all, he said, "Everyone loves to be on the winning side."

Now that the U.S. military and a coalition of the willing have disposed of the evil tyrant Saddam Hussein, or at least sent him into hiding, come join the Iraqi people in celebrating the dawning of a new democratic era in Babylon.
