Bush's Ugly America

Bush Links Faith and Agenda In Speech
President Bush has addressed countless audiences as commander in chief. Today, he was introduced as "our friend and brother in Christ."

Why the U.S. fears Europe

'Bin Laden tape to show Iraq link' BBC
Arab TV station al-Jazeera has confirmed it has an audio tape which it is examining, despite earlier denying any knowledge of it.
For my part, Bin Laden may be dead and we have no proof that this tape is real. It is conceivable that the U.S. is manufacturing and distributing more of their propaganda material and conveniently invoking the name of bin Laden to make their bogus link. We have already seen the U.S. Bin Laden actors in previous tapes. Is it not strange how Powell knew what al-Jazeera had better than them? It seems like Powell knew the tape was delivered but al-Jazeera did not open the package when they said they did not have it.

Powell Ties 'bin Laden' Message to Iraq

Bin Laden says he is Iraqi partner - Powell
Powell said he read a transcript of "what bin Laden – or who we believe to be bin Laden" will be saying on the Al-Jazeera Arab satellite station later today, "where once again he speaks to the people of Iraq and talks about their struggle and how he is in partnership with Iraq."
In Cairo, Al-Jazeera chief editor Ibrahim Hilal said his station had no such tape of bin Laden.

Journalists find little at site named by Powell
But journalists who visited the site depicted in Powell's satellite photo found a half-built cinderblock compound filled with heavily armed Kurdish men, video equipment and children - but no obvious sign of chemical weapons manufacturing. "You can search as you like," said Mohammad Hassan, a spokesman for the Islamic militant group Ansar al-Islam, which controls the camp and the surrounding village. "There are no chemical weapons here."
