Man Jailed In Switzerland For Holocaust Doubts
On Monday morning, January 13, Gaston-Armand Amaudruz was jailed in Switzerland for having expressed doubts about the existence of homicidal gas chambers in World War II German concentration camps, and for saying that he did not believe the figure of six million wartime Jewish dead. The publicist and retired teacher, who is 82 and in poor health, is to be held for three months in a special "high security" prison.

U.S. and UK encourage Cruise Ships to pull out of Trinidad and Tobago
The two companies, UK-based P&O Cruises and its sister company Princess Cruises, have stopped all visits until further notice citing a report from the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office about the possibility of British nationals becoming victims of a terrorist attack while in Trinidad and Tobago.
Is this a reprisal for shipping gasoline to Venezuela? Patrick Manning, the Prime Minister of T&T, told a post-Cabinet news conference that he has called in the British High Commissioner, the United States Ambassador and the Brazilian Ambassador for separate meetings this morning and would make a comprehensive statement in Parliament this afternoon.

The (sp)oils of war
The majority of the public oppose a war before its first official casualty. We are on the brink of organising the biggest political demonstration in British history. We know it will be big from the meeting the stewards had with the Hyde Park authorities. When it came to estimating turnout, a middle ranking official said he knew it will be massive, "because I'm going to be there".

U.N.: Inspectors find empty warheads in Iraq
"What they ought to do is come forward" to provide documents or physical evidence to support the conclusion that the country no longer has weapons of mass destruction"
Come on Bush, this is the BIG ONE! EMPTY WARHEADS? Dangerous?
Nice piece of ignorance, having to provide documentary evidence that one does not possess something.

Rumsfeld: Lack of evidence could mean Iraq's hiding something
It really cannot get sillier because it could also mean you are wrong! It is the accuser who must provide proof and not the accused is guilty until proven innocent. Anyhow, all of this is semantics as Bush and his goons have no moral authority to determine who should have weapons. We have already seen North Korean use their weapons as a deterrent to U.S. aggression. Certainly if the U.S. was sure Iraq had dangerous weapons that posed a threat to them, their posture would have been different. Do not forget that the U.S. helped arm Iraq and Osama.
