The handler and the dog: The U.S. and Israel
Posted: Thursday, April 4, 2002

by Akinkawon

Bush calls for all nations to renounce all acts of terrorism in all its forms.

It is in this light that I denounce the actions of the U.S. past and present and the actions of Israel past and present alongside the actions of the suicide bombers.

If I am to have any sympathy for any side in this violence it is for the ordinary Palestine people who surrender their lives in the hope of sending a message to Israel. They are clearly saying that they prefer to die rather than remain a colonized people.

I have no sympathy for Arafat as he has cloaked himself with inept cronies and has corrupted the legitimate aspirations of the people. Having said this it is important to state that the bullying tactics of both Israel and America should not remove Arafat from office. Struggling Palestinians should determine how their region is to be governed and who leads their struggle. They should be the ones to remove Arafat if and when they find it necessary.

America equipped Israel as its military post in the Middle East (Northern Africa), in its effort to disable Arab states from maintaining independent control over their energy resources. Their overt and covert actions are responsible for the ongoing tensions in that region. Leaders in Arab states are also responsible for placing their financial well being above the security and development of their people. (Most are corrupt.)

Israel does America biddings in the hope of expanding control in that region. So the world's biggest terrorists are trying to impose peace in a wave of violence they instigated. When they feel the violence has served their short-term interest they then want to be seen as the vanguards of peace.

Bush called on Israel to withdraw from the occupied regions in Palestine following global condemnation of the U.S. support for Israel’s onslaught on Palestinians.

Some pathetic nations kept saying that it is only the U.S. that can halt the violence in the 'Middle East'. They were inadvertently sending signals of their weakness. They are also saying that the U.S. government has attained world domination and the collective voices of other nations can only amount to empty rhetoric.

After Bush and company allowed the conflict to escalate other cowardly nations now allow the U.S. to be portrayed as Peacemakers.

THE U.S. BULLY HAS SPOKEN.
