Craig, - Americans are the least informed of all people in the industrialized world. The reliance on TV infomercials that parade as news networks has hoodwinked the populace into believing they know what is going on.
The other horror, of course, are the inadequate education systems across the nation. So little attention is paid to history or geography or political philosophy of any sort. There is no concept among most Americans that there are other people in the world with cultures and histories much richer than theirs.
I fear we have already destroyed the nation by our apathy and our ignorance. I hope I'm wrong.
